Maison Backyards uses customer information to operate the storefront, process orders, arrange shipping, provide support, prevent fraud, improve site performance, and communicate about purchases or service requests.

Outdoor furniture orders often involve delivery coordination, replacement part identification, warranty review, and product support. Accurate information helps us provide clearer service.

Cookies and analytics

The storefront runs on Shopify, which sets cookies needed for core shopping functions — keeping your cart, signing you in, and completing checkout. We also use storefront analytics to understand how pages are used so we can improve them. You can limit or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site works without optional cookies, though your cart may not persist between visits.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers that help us run the store: Shopify as our commerce platform, payment processors that handle transactions (we never see or store full card numbers), shipping carriers that need a name and address to deliver an order, and support tooling used to answer messages. Each provider receives only what it needs for its role.

Retention and security

Order records are kept as long as needed for support, warranty coverage, returns, and legal or accounting requirements. Payment processing and data storage happen on Shopify's PCI-compliant infrastructure; storefront traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Marketing email only goes to addresses that signed up for it, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages about an order you placed — confirmations, shipping updates, support replies — are sent regardless, because the order needs them.

Children

The store sells outdoor furniture and equipment intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated version is posted here with a new date at the top. Continued use of the store after a change means the current posted version applies.
