Choosing the right patio set

Start with seat count

MBY sets run from two seats to twelve. Two- and four-seat aluminum sets suit balconies, porches and small decks; six-seat wicker sets and the twelve-seat sectional are built to fill a full patio without feeling sparse.

Aluminum or wicker

Powder-coated aluminum is the lighter frame - easy to rearrange, and it will not rust. Hand-woven PE rattan over powder-coated steel reads softer and hides weathering better over a season. Both pass The MBY All-Weather Test.

Decide on the fire pit

Several sets include a 45,000 or 55,000 BTU fire pit table with a tempered glass wind guard. With the lid on it works as an ordinary coffee table, so the fire pit costs you no floor space when it is not lit.

Check cushion depth

Cushion thickness across the range runs 4 to 6.7 inches of high-density foam in water-resistant olefin. Thicker cushions sit deeper and suit long evenings; 4-inch fibre-core seating stays firmer and dries faster after rain.

Aluminum or wicker conversation sets?
